A pregnant Valentine's Day.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. We are never ones to really celebrate this particular holiday besides going out for dinner somewhere. I think I may have gotten flowers once, but that was while Jacob was in Afghanistan and I think he felt like he needed to do something a little estra special.

We decided to go out to dinner last night (Friday the 13th) instead of on the actual Day to avoid any overcrowded restaurants and also because my brother is coming into town to visit us this weekend along with his wife and 2 kids. So Jacob told me we could go anywhere I wanted (a wise decision since I'd probably throw up if we went somewhere I wasn't absolutely craving!). I started thinking and nothing really sounded good, pathetic I know. We were going to order Carside to Go from Applebees when I finally thought of something that made my tummy actually growl...IHOP! So we set out for Santa Maria. IHOP is on the outskirts of town, probably so the truckers can get to it, haha. We had to pass all the hip and cool restaurants to get there and they were all PACKED. I started to worry that maybe IHOP would be too. But Jacob assured me that only stoners and pregnant women go there, lol. So we drove into the parking lot and he was right, there was hardly anyone there. We got our choice of table and top notch service. The meal was awesome, it seriously hit the spot. One of the best V-Day meals in history! I've realized, I'm a total dork for choosing IHOP as my romantic Valentine's meal but I don't care, it was good.

Today, on the actual day we have just been cleaning the house. I gave Jacob an enormous Costco sized box of Fruit Mentos (because he loves them). And he has really given me the best present I could ask for which has been helping me clean. All I had to do was fold laundry and clean the guest bathroom, he did the rest. What a wonderful hubby! So anyways, Happy Valentine's to all. Hope everyone does something for, or at least thinks of someone special today!
